A conversation with Judy Woodruff, veteran journalist and Duke class of 1968. Woodruff started her career in the news media in 1970 as an anchor with CBS affiliate WAGA-TV in Atlanta. She grew to national renown at NBC News, PBS and CNN, where she hosted Inside Politics for 12 years. Woodruff left CNN in 2005 in order to teach, write and work on documentaries. She returned to PBS in 2007 where she is now the Anchor and Managing Editor of PBS NewsHour. Woodruff has also published several books and is a founding member of the International Women's Media Foundation. Woodruff is interviewed by reporter Rob Christensen of The News and Observer, November 4, 1999, in Durham.
